Trong phần thi IELTS Writing Task 2 cũng vậy, để đảm bảo tính logic cho bài viết thì việc sử dụng các Linking language là rất cần thiết. Linking language đóng vai trò kết nối các câu trong bài viết, có thể là một từ nối giữa hai câu, nhưng cũng có thể là một cụm từ cùng đi với nhau, thể hiện và liên kết các ý tưởng của người viết.
