Hello Karl, Hope you are well. Thank you for your classes and advice, especially on the exam structures that I need to be familiar with. I think that helped me mentally prepare better for the actual test on 3 Aug.
I’m happy to share with you that I got 8.0 overall, and 7.5 for speaking and writing.
Before getting the results, I thought that I had performed poorly in writing and speaking. As for speaking, I provided poor and extremely short answers. The only area I did well for speaking was fluency, which I had improved thanks to your feedback during the course. For writing, I did quite well for task 1, but very poorly for the second half of task 2. As you well know, I always have a problem with timing. In that test, I spent 30-32 minutes on Task 1, which meant very little time for Task 2. Luckily, I tried writing a 1-sentence conclusion, thanks to your critical advice of always leaving a conclusion however short it may be. So when I saw the results, it was a great surprise to me, and that led to a thought that with proper practice, I could have performed even better.
Thank you once again for the teaching, grading, and giving feedback and helpful advice. It helped me a lot in such a short period.
