Stewart Douglas Laird is an experienced and passionate English teacher whose career has spanned multiple continents and cultures. After beginning his professional life in the construction and civil industries across Southern and West Africa—including Nigeria, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Malawi—he discovered his true calling in education. This realisation led him to earn a TEFL qualification and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Psychology, which opened the door to a rewarding career in English language teaching.

Stewart’s teaching journey began in China, where he spent three years developing curriculum, training teachers, and preparing students for international exams such as IELTS and TOEFL. During this time, he held leadership roles that included managing teachers across several provinces and spearheading programs in cultural sensitivity and professional development.
