Mr Johnny Willis grew up in the seaside town of Bangor before moving to Scotland to attend the University of Stirling. He graduated in 2001 with a BA honours in English studies. Following this he took u a position in the UK civil service before deciding to look for employment in his field of study.

Johnny moved to Vietnam in August 2006 in order to complete the Cambridge CELTA (certifcate in English teaching to Adults). He started teaching test preparation classes including IELTS and TOEFL in 2007. Since then, he has consistently Academic and Exam classes in Vietnam. In 2011 he completed two modules of the Cambridge Delta, a higher level, teaching qualification.

Johnny has developed a proficiency in teaching across all four skills of the IELTS test and especially enjoys helping students to improve their fluency and pronunciation. On top of teaching exam classes himself he has ran workshops to train other teachers in IELTS and Academic English teaching and completed the Cambridge Train the Trainer course.

Outside of the classroom Johnny leads an active lifestyle participating in mountain biking, trekking and yoga. He even completed to half marathons last year. He tries to bring this level of activity into the classroom, creating dynamic engaging lessons for students. He is a great believer in developing students critical thinking and analytical skills.
