Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps illustrate the transformations that have taken place in the village of Pebbleton over the past two decades. Overall, the area has seen notable expansion in residential and recreational facilities, as well as enhanced infrastructure, while some historical elements have been retained.
One of the most significant developments is the increase in housing along Old Fort Road, with several new houses having been constructed. Additionally, a children’s playground has been introduced near the lighthouse, and a cemetery has been established in the northern section of the village. While the playing field has remained unchanged, new footpaths have been added, improving accessibility. One of these now links the film studio to other areas, and a parking lot has been built nearby to accommodate increased activity.
Infrastructure upgrades include a more comprehensive road network, which has been extended to facilitate smoother traffic flow. Despite these modernizations, certain historical landmarks such as the lighthouse have been preserved, maintaining the village’s cultural heritage.

2. Sử dụng liên từ phụ thuộc để tạo câu phức
Trích dẫn: “Although the playing field has remained unchanged, several footpaths have been introduced to improve accessibility.”
Giải thích: Câu sử dụng “Although” để thể hiện sự tương phản, tạo thành một câu phức với một mệnh đề phụ thuộc.
3. Sử dụng câu ghép-phức
Câu ghép- phức được sử dụng trong bài mẫu: “Although the playing field has remained unchanged, several footpaths have been introduced to improve accessibility.”
Giải thích: Câu này kết hợp một mệnh đề phụ thuộc (“While the village has modernized significantly”) với hai mệnh đề độc lập (“some historical elements have been preserved” + “the transport infrastructure has been enhanced”), tạo thành một câu ghép-phức.
4. Sử dụng câu bị động để tăng tính trang trọng
Trích dẫn: “A parking lot has been constructed near the film studio to accommodate increased activity.”
Giải thích: Câu sử dụng thể bị động “has been constructed” để nhấn mạnh hành động thay vì chủ thể thực hiện hành động, giúp câu văn trang trọng hơn, phù hợp với bài báo cáo IELTS Task 1.
5. Sử dụng câu điều kiện
Câu trích dẫn: “If these infrastructure developments continue, the village is likely to become even more accessible in the future.”
Giải thích: Mệnh đề đầu tiên (“If these infrastructure developments continue”) là mệnh đề điều kiện, còn mệnh đề sau (“the village is likely to become even more accessible”) là mệnh đề kết quả.
6. Sử dụng cấu trúc song song trong câu ghép
Câu trích dẫn: “New housing has been developed, a cemetery has been introduced, and a children’s playground has been added.”
Giải thích: Câu tuân theo cấu trúc song song bằng cách liệt kê nhiều hành động trong cùng một dạng ngữ pháp, giúp câu rõ ràng và mạch lạc hơn.
1. Transformations /ˌtræns.fəˈmeɪ.ʃən/- Major changes or developments: Sự thay đổi lớn hay phát triển.
Ví dụ: The city has undergone major transformations over the years.
2. Notable expansion /ˈnəʊ.tə.bəl ɪkˈspæn.ʃən/- A significant increase in size or capacity: Sự mở rộng đáng kể.
Ví dụ: The notable expansion of the highway has reduced congestion.
3. Enhanced infrastructure /ɪnˈhɑːnst ˈɪn.frəˌstrʌk.tʃər/– Improved roads, transport, or facilities: Cơ sở hạ tầng được cải thiện.
Ví dụ: The city’s enhanced infrastructure has made commuting more efficient.
4. Retained /rɪˈteɪnd/– Kept or preserved: Được giữ lại hoặc bảo tồn.
Ví dụ: Despite modernization, the original architecture was retained.
5. Comprehensive road network /ˌkɒm.prɪˈhen.sɪv rəʊd /ˈnet.wɜːk/– A well-developed system of roads: Hệ thống đường bộ hoàn chỉnh.
